امتدت فترة كتابة هذه القصص لسنوات طويلة بداية من عام 1987 بقصة "الرائحة"، إلى عام 2013 بقصة "الله يطول بعمره". وكتبت جميعها تحت وطأة استبداد ثقيل جعل تفكيرنا شبه مشلول وجعلنا جلادين ومراقبين مجانيين على أنفسنا، ومن "الطبيعي" أن يتم الاعتذار عن نشر معظمها كما حصل مع قصة "الرائحة" التي اعتذرت عن نشرها او تجاهلتها كل الصحف التي أُرسِلت إليها في ذلك الوقت، وكذلك حصل مع عدة قصص اخرى.
