  • Resumen

  • A follow up to Jamali’s British Podcast Award-winning comedy/horror series. Jamali Maddix is back attempting to debunk our guest’s wildest tales of the paranormal.

With an eclectic range of comedians stopping by Jamali’s studio to talk about their spookiest sh*t, we’ll hear creepy tales from cultures all around the world, as our guests’ backgrounds seep into their supernatural beliefs - from conspiracy theories to aliens to your run-of-the-mill hauntings.

With cutting-edge sound design, these spooky stories are brought dramatically to life, punctuated by atmospheric sound and scoring to pull you into our guest’s most frightening tales.

But can these spooky tales convince Jamali of a world beyond our own? Find out in the new series of Spooky Sh*t…

    Episodes:

Series two features Evelyn Mok whose credits include Spiderman: Far From Home and Comedy Central’s East Mode sketch series. Evelyn’s Swedish and Chinese background tap into a rich history of supernatural beliefs. Jamali and Evelyn talk about Chinese Hell and burning effigies for the afterlife as well as vistations from her dead grandmother and a terrifying conversation about vivid sleep paralysis.

Also we’re joined by Mexican/American newcomer Lara Ricote, Funny Women award winning comedian and storyteller. Lara and Jamali discuss the Day of the Dead, strange morbid predictions from angel readers that actually came true and her experiences working at a haunted summer camp.

Next up we’ve got Celebrity Gogglebox’s Babtunde Aleshe who swaps conspiracy stories with Jamali and how his aunt once got cursed by a business rival. We deep dive into usually sceptical Jamali’s own freaky encounters and he may have met his match with this episode.

Jamali is also joined by fellow Taskmaster alumnus Mike Wozniak, who’s polish aristocratic ancestry kept finding themselves getting eaten and roaming the forests as half-chewed ghosts. Mike also shares a story about how a recurring dream saved him from a real life dice with death.

We also hear from the easily spooked Maisie Adam, who shares a tale of terror during a frightening excursion in the middle of nowhere whilst on her Duke of Edinburgh award. Maisie is obsessed with all things magic and tells Jamali about her trip to the magic quarter of New Orleans where she came across a curse fireplace.

Finally we get deep with Edinburgh Comedy Award nominated comedian Jordan Gray as she talks about choosing between Heaven and Hell, believing in Aliens and how in eastern Europe there’s a good Santa and a bad Santa.
