Auguste Dupin as he inquires into the double murder of a woman and her daughter, parsing clues including an unidentifiable non-human hair discovered at the scene.
Kerry Shale’s performance of this adrenaline-pumping whodunit is well paced, his enunciation clear and his delivery even and eerie. Shale expertly plays with the tension in Poe’s spine-tingling text, keeping listeners on the hook until its exciting conclusion.
