Resumen del editor
If you want to end battle with food and get permanent weight loss, then keep reading!
With our newfound mindfulness and by identifying our needs, values, expectations, and even identities, we can make decisions at key points on our consumption journey that will help us create the eating experiences we crave.
Some of those key decision points involve meal planning and where to shop.
Since our shopping options affect what ingredients will be available to us, it’s important to consider this first, so we know what we’ll be working with in our meal planning.
For example, those of us who live in large cities may have access to a wide variety of chain store retailers but little access to farmers markets. The opposite may be true for those living in rural areas.
Some stores are more expensive, and some offer more bargains. Before we can plan meals, we must mindfully decide what’s most important to us and which retailers are the best fit.
To efficiently practice mindful eating, you should first understand how eating cycle works.
Let’s use the "Am I Hungry?" eating cycle model to determine how it goes. There are specific questions that you should ask yourself to understand better one’s behavior towards eating.
There are a lot of food choices out there, but we can’t go around eating whatever whenever.
We should be able to identify the correct time when to eat and what are the best foods to eat to become healthy.
Once we understand and apply mindful eating, we will be able to enjoy the foods that we love without feeling guilty and without binging.
This guide covers the following:

Most of us eat certain foods either because we enjoy eating it (or we love it), or we eat them as a result of our daily responsibilities and routine, i.e., we do not have enough time to eat an alternative meal, or we eat certain foods out of pure habit.
